Expertise

At present, our research group is focussing on three major themes:

1) Understanding the stability and substrate hydrolysis of enzymes involved in galactomannan hydrolysis using molecular and biochemical approaches

2) Understanding the scientific rationale for the prebiotic action of manno-oligosaccharides in probiotic bacteria using genomic and proteomic approaches

3) Utilization of nanotechnology to improve the properties of mannan degrading enzymes
