VISION 2001
It is envisaged that in 2001
Council
of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will hold a valuable portfolio
of at least 1000 Indian patents and 500 foreign patents which will enable
it to strike strategic alliances with some of the global technological
leaders in specific areas and generate at least 5% of its R&D budget
from IP licensing / alliances. Its IPMD would be a national resource and
an international reference center on IP matters.
