About Mysore

Mysore is located 136 kms from Bangalore.   Mysore is well connected by trains and buses from Bangalore.  The climate of Mysore is moderate and the temperature in winter is minimum around 15⁰C and in summer, maximum temperature is around 35⁰C.   Rainy season is between June to September.  It is a city of palaces, gardens and educational institutions.

CFTRI is centrally located in the town just, half a km from the railway station.   The University, some of the educational institutions, industries are all other attractions in Mysore.  The city has a unique splendour of the promotion of modern education with the heritage of the palaces and has the blend of the ambience of Mysore merging with Food Science and Technology at CFTRI.  It has got the unique distinction of having one of the world's largest Food Science and Technology Institution, i.e. CFTRI in Mysore.
